Another one saved! HB SL

This is finally it - no more cars.....

I saved this one from being scrapped due to the owner dying and the solicitors hoping it would be saved rather than letting the scrapman take it. It has taken two months to sort out all the paperwork etc.

Just got it home. It is in pretty good condition and was owned from new by the guy who has died. He looked after it well and the garage was full of Waxoyl! There is some rust at the bottom of the rear wheel arches where the mudflaps are attached and also at the bottom of the front wings where they meet the sill.

More pics in time - but just glad it's home without any hitches so far.

Well done Maz, looks a nice car. Do you need to borrow a sleeping bag? :boxing:

It's getting that way Peter! I had the "this is the last car - you don't buy any more" speech this morning.

Actually, as Paul knows, the missus has been very good about this cos she could have just said no and that would have been it. She kind of agreed that it would be wrong to let it get scrapped and that's what clinched it in the end. I wouldn't say she's happy (actually she isn't very happy) but she is resigned to the fact that I struggle seeing them get squashed, particularly if they are savable.

I will be a good boy from now on......
