1972 Vauxhall Firenza resto

Postby Icedmunkie » Tue May 11, 2010 6:25 pm

After buying my Firenza and just getting it through an MOT i decided to poke it full of holes and then found my welding skills were not up to scratch sent the car off for welding, Ill upload some before & after pictures, but to say the £375 bill was well worth the money.

Box is going back in with new clutch this week and should be smoking around in the old girl again by the weekend!
New wheels and engine are planned when funds allow, sometimes hard being an apprentice and renting to rebuild a car !!

Cills were shot too, but bought some oversills and the welder chap i use made them into new sills and rebuilt the inner cill as well in some places he only patch but most of the time he cut out the rot and replaced

After pics will be up tomorrow hopefully

My thoughts exactly with regards to engine change!
I got a bit more to get done somepoint but now its sounds, the rest is cosmetic and now starting to save up for the engine conversion..
