Hi everyone, I am almost at the end of my wee HA van's restoration and need a roof lining for it.. Any ideas of a company in central Scotland that would supply and fit? :thanx:

Morning,

same question but applicable in West Yorkshire....also, does anyone know of a carpet set that's available for the van??

Been very lucky so far with new wings, slam (thanks Paul!!) front panel and new doors however the rear wheel arches and a petrol tank are proving somewhat difficult... still she's worth it!

regards

Chris :D

Yeah Ive done a few headlinings. Only on HB and HC vivas though, never done a HA.
I get the material from Woolies trim, its not cheap but its the right stuff and makes the job much easier. You can use a standard sewing machine, I use a tesco cheapy one.
Id think about having a go yourself, its not really that difficult. Just be methodical and use the original as a template but give yourself extra material on the edges so you have somthing to pull on when its fitted.

Ive seen the work of a company in Glasgow somwhere, they werent cheap and I wouldnt give them a bike seat to retrim!!

I had never used a sewing machine before I did mine so theres not much skill involved, just a fair bit of time.

Email Deon on here, he knows a chap who does head-linings at a reasonable price.. but he needs the old one to use as a template if I remember right. :goodluck:
