Delilah restoration update

Postby vivabird » Thu Jul 15, 2010 8:58 pm

My HC Delilah, Bought from the owners club a few months ago had been stored for 28 years in a garage after being taken off the road for maintanence. The owner was going to put a larger engine in but it was never put in.
The original engine was taken apart to rebuild but never finished with several bits now missing the best bet was to get another one which i found on Ebay that had only done 22k.
The bodywork was sound but had a lot of surface rust on the roof and boot lid. so the update is Del has now got the engine in and the wheels have been restored the body is now covered in canary yellow primer not too pretty! I had some great help off club members regarding fuel and brake line also electrics so the next stage is to get those done! just need a few hoses and hopefully we can get her on the road! Then to tackle the bodywork and then a respray :wink:Image ImageImageImageImageImageImage
