Precisely my concerns. Might even work ok on a 2 door, but on a 4 door I'm not so sure at all now. I'm planning on a Coggers style front splitter too, not sure if that will even out the looks front to back or if it will still look out of place on a 4 door.

Look at your average max power corsa offering and it looks positively restrained! It's hard to judge it in isolation. Add a set of alloys and it could look completely different. I would say that coupe's wear a spoiler better than a saloon but it's your car at the end of the day. Incidentally, is that spoiler an RS2000 item?
Dave.

It is an RS2000 spoiler, something I'd read might be somewhere close to fitting. The fit isn't bad at all incidentally. I think I'll still do it as I'd originally planned on another boot lid so it's easy to change back. As you say it could look completely different with the alloys/other wheels and the look it had before I stripped it. The spoiler cost little and the boot lid virtually nothing. I may end up painting bits like the boot myself so overall very little cost attached.

So you don't think chrome flames up Marvin's sides would look good then, eh Paul? :D I have to admit I thought it could go one of three ways. It could look surprisingly good, a rubbish attempt to mimic an RS2000, or like a boy racer trying too hard. Only the first is an acceptable outcome.

I quite like the boot spoiler.

Here is a pic of my Viva with the front spoiler fitted plus homemade quarter bumpers,
I moulded the spoiler into the wings,so no ugly joint on show :D

Now that I like. The wheels, the subtle blending of the bib into the wings and what look like Nova wing mirrors? Put them all together and it changes the look of the car without being too in your face.
Dave.

That looks sweet- and i love that green.

Ollie- i think you should avoid spoilers, go faster stripes until you have fitted the 13B turbo/lexus 1Uz/k series....
now get back to work so i can see this car at RRG!

Mr Dog, that's a great looking Viva!

The spoiler idea has been temporarily discarded, it'll find a home somewhere at the back of the garage for another day.

Currently on the agenda is wiring because I need to crack on with it and because it shouldn't cost me any more money, which is a bonus when you've run out.

The old:

Looks like I caught it just in time!

Midway, everything has been mocked up and taped into position other than the rewiring of the ignition circuit to fit a relay, an extension on the passenger side door switch wiring and the alarm wiring as I'm in two minds about where to fit it. I'll finish that tomorrow and start soldering it all back together, hopefully nice and neatly. Then comes re-wrapping the bloody thing! :imsmiling:
