I thought I would move my project to the restoration section, started losing track of all the other thread's. I'm thinking it might be best to keep It in one place and I am doing a restoration on it.
Finally found the used welder I was looking for, great deal and works amazing Millermatic 180 autoset
So built myself a rotiserie last week.


Ready to start the sill's and arches, wish me luck this Is my first try at bodywork on a car.

Good luck, I'm also starting my first proper bash at bodywork soon. Love the rotiserie, was it difficult to make?

Pretty easy, used 3x1 square 1/8inch wall.. Can give you the basic lengths, could of made it a little lower, adding wheels didn't help.
Got a 3M clean and strip disc today to take the paint off, paint don't stand a chance, and it doesn't remove any metal..cool...will start to cut some panels tomorrow.
Need to buy a panel beaters hammer and dolly next, also a piece of 18 gauge steel.

Good luck with the restoration.
Does your car have much rust? Looks in not too bad condition but you can never tell for sure from photos.
Excellent looking rotiserie you've made there.

It has it In the normal places, but I think I am really lucky she's very solid, I started cleaning the paint off the sills and was met by a lot of shiny metal, might not need to weld up all the sill. I built the rotisserie so I could use It on different sized vehicles as well.. Needs one or two more little corner supports on the rear bumper brackets but It's holding up well.
Little Update
Started cleaning the paint off the lower half this week, gave up using my air tool with a 3 inch wheel, got fed up of the compressor running in my ear, I have ordered some 4.5 inch clean and strip discs for my electric sander, bigger,faster stripping and hopefully quieter.
Found some little ding's here and there so also ordered a hammer and dolly set, put the other body up in storage now as well so have a lot more room In the garage, in-between body work I want to start stripping the suspension and rebuild that.
