Hello there, i too have just rescued another 1256 hc estate.. long drive on a hot day. but 1 owner from new makes it worth it.. i shall try to get some pics up soon.... not too bad, will also be a rolling resto.. and it runs as sweet as...but not again until i've cleaned out the oil and water .. Richard..

Hello peter, looks like you got your work cut out for you. i need to buy a welder and practice , lots,,... i shall try and get some pictures up soon. (if i can work out how) lol. Richard.

Welding is great fun, it's a bit tricky to do at first though. :lol:

Well done on rescuing it, surface rust as you say but otherwise looks pretty solid.

How've you been getting on with the resto?

Apart from removing the interior I have done very little to the Estate due to work and other commitments. However, I now have a couple of weeks leave which should allow me to make some headway. I can't wait to jetwash that engine bay and the wheel arches. :D
