Good result there.

I mean how often do you keep a spare transmission and ever get to use it?

This justifies hoarding.

Update. Interior cleaned and replaced looking like new. Window mechanisms lubricated, minor faults repaired. Braking system cleaned , seals renewed, electrics sorted. Engine and gearbox running smoothly, this vehicle is not far from its first MOT in 24 years. I am currently tidying up the bodywork, patch painting is the order of the day pending a respray eventually.. Stopping and filling is a tedious time consuming task, but it must be done. All that remains then is to re-underseal and attend to numerous small matters such as tracking and headlamp alignment.

Excellent, you have done really well on this. Good luck with the MOT.
