I mean how often do you keep a spare transmission and ever get to use it?

This justifies hoarding.

Update. Interior cleaned and replaced looking like new. Window mechanisms lubricated, minor faults repaired. Braking system cleaned , seals renewed, electrics sorted. Engine and gearbox running smoothly, this vehicle is not far from its first MOT in 24 years. I am currently tidying up the bodywork, patch painting is the order of the day pending a respray eventually.. Stopping and filling is a tedious time consuming task, but it must be done. :lol: All that remains then is to re-underseal and attend to numerous small matters such as tracking and headlamp alignment.

good luck fella, stick at it where you can and thats 2 more estates on the road. but i think it still makes that less than 30, so we are driving a rarer car than that old 2 a penny mk 1 escort ..lol...
