hmm thats a lot of rust gone..

well as you can see there was a lot of holes under the battery tray... then there was no battery tray,, then we made a new 1 .... hmmm better..
will take a picture of the new tray we made along with the water bottle holder....
new tyres sorced,,, and tracked down an exhaust.. just need to wait for the fundage now..lol.

Your doing really well on this car. Must admit when I first looked at the photos on ebay I thought it was a lost cause. Full marks on rescuing it. Wont be long now before your cruising around.

That's a scary bit of corrosion on that inner wing, nicely welded. :D

thanks guys, i did have some help on the welding, its been a while since i welded. but soon got back into the swing. i've had 1 of the engineers at work make a new battery tray and wash bottle holder to go back in. i'll get some pics tommorow. also i have knocked out the worst of the dent in the rear panel. photo;s to follow. but yes its getting there.. poor ole thing. and YES i'm still enjoying it all..lol.
but when i say to the kids, hey, lets go for a ride in lizzy , it will all be worth it..hee hee.

If you are carrying kids in the back then I strongly advise the fitment of rear seat belts. There are mounting points for static lap belts already provided. Securon 210 is probably suitable, available from a number of sources.

as you can see below, once a dent is now almost gone. thanks to the following tools... also my new battery tray and washer bottle ready to join under the engine bay..

not bad i dont think... got 2 new raer shocks on her, got some springs to go on, gotta try and get the damn master cylinder off and see why my brakes have gone awol ... lol. oh well if it wasn't that it'd be something else.. and yes i will prob go for the rear seat belts .
just STILL waiting for the blumming log book from dvla.. well its only been about 3 1/2 months ..!!! lol
