Well , i took her for the dreaded mot yesterday,
i missed i small piece of welding about the size of a 50p,on the inner sill nearside front, and the rear brakes were not working properly....
not bad i thought.. i have spent far too much time outside she said, but now its all, ohh not long till its on the road now then....lol..i must get these photo's loaded up. so YES CINDERS, YOU SHALL GO TO THE BALL......... :D

ordered a new alternator, but what size or type of battery doi need for it ?
the 1 i have on her doesn't fit very well. new tyres on before the mot so we are so close to being there..
also as the new law on tax exemtion as from next april, then she will be tax free...... may have to get rid of the other car..lol

Well done. Think the battery is an 038, Halfords have them.

Been following your progress and great news your so near putting her back on the road.
Noticed you metioned no tax next year,your car was registerd 7-3-73,well worth looking at the thread on here,
"Heritage Certificate" that Mr b has give info on as its the build date that counts.
Example mine is nov 72 but was built in april 72,think its well worth a try.

Quite a good result, shame about the brakes. Rear brakes were always an MOT achilles heel on my previous Vivas back in the 1980's, usually due to handbrake inbalance. :(

well,,,, i did it, i managed to get all the work done to get 12 month ticket to drive. !!!
all taxed and on the road.
so now, i can travel to collect even more parts to continue the road to a nice little classic run about...

yes very happy,
now at least we can get around to a few places in between taking more bits off to replace them.. and the bodywork is still going ahead. sorced paint , ready for when I do get it resprayed.. 2 pack, in the same colour..... well, why wouldn't you.. wont be too long before we take her out to a show somewhere.. I must get a few miles on it before I trust it to go too far . lol...
