Sorry folks, haven't been on here in a while. After I bought the viva I undertook a new business venture and haven't really got looking near it.

Things have calmed down slightly, so starting to get back into it again.

@carmad, cheers, I'll have to get down for them at some stage

@Retro morgs Thanks for the offer, but I think I'm sorted with some

@Turbotony Yeah, its a good fit, thankfully carmad had done a lot of the hard work for me! its fitted with the s14 box

I'll hopefully get a few more updates on here shortly!!

Unfortunately between work, slipped discs and losing my garage space, work on the viva came to a complete halt for a long time, but things are starting to move again...so here's what's been happening...

I've modified the bulkhead to leave a bit more room for the engine

Rebuilt the front suspension with rosejointed upper wishbones, spax coilovers and modified a set of Renault Savannah vented discs to fit the hubs.
Also got a set of 4 pot calipers off a 200sx to be fitted, but haven't the bracket machined yet.

Since that though, I stripped it all down, got the bits powder coated and ordered myself a refurbished steering rack and some polybushes

I've the engine booked in for a rebore and rebuild (no chance of tackling that myself) and the guy who's painting it also decided to have a go at mocking up a couple of gt vents

Hopefully things will keep moving a bit quicker now and it won't take me 2 years for the next update!!

Not bad, well done on getting back to it. Life does have a nasty habit of screwing things up!
