Viva 2300SL "Barney"

Postby bluemoontezza » Wed Aug 15, 2012 7:53 am

The restoration on "barney" has started.
The viva was on ebay and had been in a barn since 1991.
Barney had a very bad skin complaint, paint on roof and boot had rusted due to being covered for so long.
Barney could not torque/talk lol due to engine seized--tried freeing with diesel but looks like gugion to piston problem.
Over last months have sorced parts from all over england.
I started the resto and stripped it for paint etc
The car is in paint shop as we speak

Went back to Shipdham today to look at the progress of my car,
I used the same guy "Mydadhadoneofthose" used for his ruby viva.
This is first time seen car in colour after most of it had been bear metaled
Heres the progress :) :D
