Whatever is most convenient, but keep in mind the pipes can be the weak link in the chain, so make sure they're protected.

Does the next picture show that you've blocked off all the airflow to the oil cooler by sticking a number plate in front of it? If you have, that probably negates any effect it will have.

Put it there becoss it wont fit any where elce and by puting it behand the plate it stops it geting droke with stones it wont overe heat it wil it

I doubt it would overheat, depends on what you're going to use it for. If it's a road car, it won't need an oil cooler anyway, but if it's for competition you probably need to do something else as it will be pointless if there's no airflow through it. Maybe that's why a lot of the competition cars had the registration printed on the bonnet.

Interesting and very valid points there.... An oil cooler is only really needed when the cars is pushed hard, and if it is being pushed hard the position is a bit risky...

However that said, most folks fit oil coolers cause they make the look like its 200 mph faster than normal.

Hi ist for road use but i brive cars verey hard pushing them plus it looks good on car i had one on my nova track car

Well, if you're going to drive it hard and need an oil cooler, you need to give it some airflow or it won't be much help.

Exhaust manefold off my car as it was leeking and the studs was droke had the garegetake the studs out
