Viva SL or GT rear window catch

Postby 1972nail » Sat Mar 09, 2013 9:22 pm

I'm looking for a HB Viva SL or GT opening rear window catch. Part of mine is cracked. Is it the same as the HA? PM me if you want to pass one on.

Here's what I'm after. The chrome bit that fixes to the rear pillar.

Is this one the same as the GT or HA?

Here's the broken catch. It has been repaired in the past as you can see and could be bluffed up to look better. But if there is a suitable replacement available then that would be better.

The brackets have a part number on them which I found today - looks like 8852871

Here's the reason for needing the catch. Just to make a lot of you jealous.

A pair of original '72 export opening rear quarter lights - one with a broken catch unfortunately.

I've just got the paint stripped off both and about to apply rust killer to any affected areas before priming.
I have the stainless embellishers as well but probably will paint them satin black.

Anyone need two perfect original metal trims for fixed windows - no rust whatsoever. The rubbers are already sold. PM me if you do.
