Your replacement wing is probably a 'skin' wing without the rear support panel & headlamp mounting, the full wing has both these,

The wing does have the headlight panel, which made me think it was a genuine one, although not the original.
Back on with it today, off with the other wing.

off with the inner wing.

i got some of the inner wing off the chassis leg and it was no real surprise to find corrosion at the point of frame mounting, even the strengthening steel has corroded through, so looks light a new leg is in order :? b*gger

think ill leave this area for a while i need to fit a sill and repair the kick panel and lower front sill first.

The inner wing could be used for patch repairs the top half are flitch panels but parts salvageable, anyone want it?

in this day and age you would think some one could come up with wireless 240v, what a pain. :)

Just a thought, if the wheel arches are good on the old wings its best to keep them as they can be used to repair the rear arches

That makes sense as regards the wing question, usually you'd expect the rear support panel to be 'sandwiched' in the fold along the back end of the wing but for some reason, they're just spot welded to the flange

Seems every nook and cranny hide a secret bit of rot,

bought some sills so thought id get on and chop it out, originally i just did a few local repairs to the sill and a large repair to the rear a couple of years ago, so left the rear section in, i wasn't happy with the sills purchased so will be getting something a bit closer made up.
Not too bad on the inners they have cleaned up ok, just needs a small piece near the rear and the front corner.

Well ive managed to get a bit done, thats mainly down to quiting work due to our idiot owner, so a couple of weeks off before new job.
So i sent back the sills i bought from a company that sells on ebay, very disappointed with the shape, and poor fit, so i dug out a pair of old full sills i had that i bought a while ago, they needed a bit off tweaking and shaping but overall a much better sill, it was a right ball ache fitting it and doing the front section, which is not quite the shame shape but as its not seen its good enough.
Other than sorting the front out the nearside is done.

not seen the light of day for a while, quick spin round and back in.

So onto the other side, :(
