Time to fit the radiator or at least make the mounts.

Yeh ive got my eye on yours aswel, you dont seem to be messing about :respekt:

So now the front axle is back on and ive had it out in the gloomy weather for a quick clean up then back in again and access to the other side.
Progressed with reaming the driver side door hinges, but had to first weld up the slits cut in the door hinge first, i guess they had bother getting it off.
I was looking at the hinge area on the car and noticed it was bulging at the top hinge, i think we can all guess why cant we. out with the slit disc and cut a square out to expose more rust behind it, there appears to be a pocket area that must collect moisture and it rusts through and out, a quick clean up and a bit of fresh steel. sorry no pics on that one.

Me too Bob, I'd love to be able to attempt this type of work on a Viva.

Looking fantastic! Great work.

I had to cut slits in the hinges on my wagon to release the seized pins. They welded back up lovely and I then machined down some long cap screws to just the right diameter so it was a nice tight fit - but they can be easily removed if needed.

Cap screws are a good idea, i,m short of pins for the other side as my engineer only made two at the time, how do you get the cap screws back out again? ive found that the repair i made at the hinge seems to have moved the hinge slightly as the door gap has changed, although could be due to reaming aswel or forgetting what it was previously like.
Hayho on we go, ive booked the shell in at the paint shop for 2019 hoping to get it done spring/summer, this will give me something to head for.
Thought i'd strip the o/s door and check the general condition which isn't great tbh the bottom outer is corroded along with dents aswel.

Ive got a door skin but its for a 4 door but the plan is to cut this into it but probably only the bottom half.

Ive also been spending abit of time looking at dent removal as i do have a few, well actually lots :(

Cleaned up around the boot seal area and found some more rot, hopefully not too bad a job to do as it appears to be spotted to the wing in that its a separate panel, ill chop that section out.

Loom has turned up for the engine :D

Once again the need for space is hard to find, ive been looking out for a dirt cheap van for a while after selling my rascal van a year or so ago, came up trumps a couple of days before Christmas so can now store the engine and other bits.
