Guess what I've been doing this bank holiday- I think I'm getting addicted to shiny metal!!!

Nice work, looking at the rear arches i guess there not the original pattern they look a bit big, are you going to tackle them?

If you look in the for sale section on this car you will see that they looked so wrong, but now I've taken it back to bare metal & taken all the filler out,which was applied with a shovel, I can see that it has been welded in really good. It really did lose the shape of the rear wing. So now I think they look more like what I'm trying to achieve. I think it makes the back end look meaner. And once I've dropped it to the floor I think it's gonna look so right. I think I'm doing too much thinking at the moment!!!

NICE TO SEE COLINS GT HAS GONE TO A GOOD HOME KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK YOU ARE DOING, IVE BEEN THERE AND DONE ALL THAT WITH MY 1968 GT VMV748G I FOUND THE RED OXIDE PRIMMER A REAL PAIN TO REMOVE I HAD A LOT OF WELDING TO DO AS MINE WAS A LOT WORSE THAN YOURS, IT WAS DEFFINATLY WORTH ALL THE EFFORT IN THE END IVE JUST FININISHED THE INTERIOR ITS LOOKING GOOD NOW.

Thanks for the support!! I really am happy & surprised how good she is. The boot is beyond repair & the door cards I know I am going to have trouble trying to get them to look anything. But the body is just going to be my time, so I know that will be spot on.
Would be good to see some pics of yours to drool over!! :lol:
