HC Early and late interiors

Postby demon.dave » Sat May 30, 2015 6:33 pm

I have a '79 2 door HC with the tilt and slide seats and the vinyl door cards in tan and beige, but I have just picked up a full black interior including dash from an early HC. It has the fixed and tilt seats, the centre console trim, and the plastic door cards.

Will everything be interchangeable or have I opened myself up to a world of sh*t?

Cheers guys

First question, why do you want to change the interior, unless the original one is ruined.

As far as I know it should all swap, providing both interiors are for the same number of doors.

Peter

I want to change from tan/beige to black

it turns out that early floorpans are slightly different and the front door cards won't fit

If you change the door handle surrounds the door cards should fit. The seats won't as the floor pan is different.
