I know Fred, that's why they are in my dining room! The problem is when I have to go to the workshop & find a part, took me weeks to find a door latch I knew I had :)

One chassis rail needs repair, which I have a repair piece for. Not so easy is the bottom of the A pillar :(
I've stopped poking it with a screw driver as I was getting depressed...

Have a word with Steve Hammond - I gave him a pair of decent A pillars that i extracted from the Sportshatch when i cut it up - he may still have them :roll:
CHAIRMAN and general dogs body and now Acting Parts Coordinator! (again :roll: )

A-pillar bottom rot is very common though, because it's so close to the inside of the front wing and "stuff" gathers there, rotting out through the wing and in through the scuttle. There were some factory sills that included the bottom of the A-pillar, though you'd still have to manually repair the scuttle panel.

Removed the sills & found the old sill still attached, with a reasonable coat of paint still on one. I tell my other half things get worse before they get better, but really wasn't wanting to see what I saw here..

Good job I have a pair of sills to replace, don't fancy repairing any of that.
Also got another bucket of expanding foam out :|

Common on most cars of that era, at least it's not a puma (they used carpet wheel arches, recipe for disaster there...)
I have the arch protectors for my gls but after the repairs we did on that I decided to "lose them" in the loft :)

Yes, I've never put the arch protectors in the Firenza - much easier to hose it out regularly, though it's worth putting a grommet on the sill access hole to keep water out of it. If you can reach.

Well, this has been a very busy week. The car went to the blasters on Monday, surprising how long it took to get there, all the roads you can't go down because the trailer is too wide or long. We both had a headache afterwards.

Then on Friday we did it all again taking the blasted shell to the body shop. I have to say it wasn't as bad as I was expecting. The blaster used a smaller bead which wasn't as aggressive. The doors, boot & bonnet are still being done.
I will add the photo's when I have shrunk them all to fit :)
