Thanks Peter,
3rd digit of the VIN is 1. Any idea what trim level that would be? As there isn't a key for trim level on the page you linked.
So over the last week I lifted the mat and was greeted with very wet underlay:
I spent a while trying to remove this without destroying it but my efforts were fruitless, it had fused itself to the rusty floor and just wouldn't hold together. I'll have to make some up at some point (anybody got any templates or spares?). I gave the driver's floor a good scraping and was a bit disappointed with what I found. I was a lot more pleased with the passenger side so I got cracking with that. Took it all back to bare metal, treated it, and primed it:
There are a few bits that need addressing, but it's fairly solid. I spent some time cleaning up the driver's side too, but got a little disheartened with what I was finding. I treated and primed the area that I had worked on, and then put the task on hold. I taped up any holes in the floor to keep the water out, put the interior back in, and went to the MMOC organised show at Fyvie castle on Sunday. Weather was great, and needless to say, WFK was the only Viva there!
