1256 GLS side strips 1978

Postby wyke » Tue Jul 24, 2018 8:27 pm

Took photos last year ahead of spraying when I took them off...but now can’t locate on phone . So can anyone advise the strips with a flat end ...do they go on front or back doors .....and at which end ??
Can’t find any pictures to remind me..any help gratefully received.

If there's a part with a "lower" profile for a short section, wouldn't that be to clear the front wing / front door when the piece it's fixed to is opened? That is, the lower profile would be at the front end of either door.

Not 100% certain though.

The bodywork manual just says that the mouldings are different for each side of the car, and you can tell which is which by the way they line up with the panel end shapes.

Thanks for reply ...does that mean the rear doors don’t snag on front..without a profile lower section?

My magnum has the 'lower' front edge of the side stripes on the rear doors, i don't know if that is correct or not, but they seem to look right and aren't the rear doors longer than the front? I'll get a tape measure out tomorrow and see :)
