Sids new "shoes"

Postby bodyworx » Fri May 18, 2007 5:14 pm

yehhh , "eventually " got the new wheels today, not from the original supplier i may add.
the pic doesnt show it well, but they are a good 2" out past the arches!

8x13 superlights with Dunlop 195x45 tyres for £470 DELIVERED TO SCOTLAND  :D
Wheels were IN STOCK and sent out on before 12 noon delivery and were £60 cheaper as well.

HIGHLY recommend HUDDERSFIELD SPARES (01484 658524) for anyone looking for new wheels for their Viva/Firenza etc.
They do the full Minilite/ Revolution and Alleycat range up to 11 x 13" split rims.
they mainly deal in Mini's , but wheels are 4" PCD anyway, so its all good.

You only need to get the 7 /16" nuts instead of the Mini's 3/8"

Ha ha , cant really lower him "much" more, he's on his hoop just now!.
Ive got a spare pair of 215x50x13 tyres, I'll try on the rear to 'puff it out' a bit more for when the arches go on (___), and maybe lift his butt up a wee bit more  .
Ive got new coilovers but hes not geting them ,,,,,thier MINE!

And whats retro tat ?,

Got a Retro car club meet at the end of the month, so we'll see if hes ready to make an apearance at it, not worried if he's not,Billing will be his real debut  ,
from the 2005 Viva victim to the 2007 extreme makeover???Dunno!.

Yunno like old oil drums, childrens bikes, wheels and tyres, picnic hampers etc. It's a fashion thing in certain car scenes. Personally its not really my cup of tea, but I have a very good friend who drive his highly modified and fairly fast car round sporting a chrome roofrack with varnished wooden slats (must take a bit out of the 0-60 time!) so I have conluded that it must be one of those things that you either 'get' or you don't.

BF goodridge 235/50r13s are no longer made. You 'might' find a pair about.
Kumho make a 235/45r13 'E' marked track day / road tyre, about £100 each, and this is the widest tyre you can get now for the 13" rim that is road legal. They are seriously soft though, so will not last many thousands of miles!

Hope that helps
