Mike ,the place we got the rims from (huddersfield spares)do Hoosiers to fit a 11x13, although they "look" like road tyres, do nt know if their really road legal.

Khumo do a 235x45x13 at about £100 a time, but as Lambaj said, they are pretty soft, good grip but not a lot of miles!
its khumo's ive got on mine and got 6 when I ordered them (2 for spares) they go on the 10's with a bit of "assistance" !.

I believe Ally and Andy are planning a DTV makeover for Sidney.

Can't wait to see the difference!

From that photo at the national to how he was when Paul bought him was amazing, but from that to DTV will be seriously impressive, especially as he was shunted iirc in the side quite badly before original restoration prior to Paul purchasing him.

Theres at least some history of the car known, so Ally/Andy should be able to have a rather interesting display board for Sidney at shows!!

Dont really know yet Peter, if its good enough, im going to have a SERIOUS play with it,, if its beyond redemption , it'll become spares for Ally im afraid.
From what I saw when I went to look at it, the good bits are like new, and the bad bits are ,well ,, expected for a 1967 car .
Should be picking it up tonight or tomorrow, so I'l have a a good prod about it then.

the Sid Vicious transformation has already begun Kelly !
engine bay was painted last night in pearlescent white  , and is looking rather lush !
its only a quick tidy up job for now but will get done again over the winter properly with the engine out!
New arches will be here today and targetting the weekend for the full respray.
Roll cage, (MINE  !) is in and just needs a tweek or 2 before bolting down.
So progress so far is good.

As Sid "earned" the title of Viva Victim back in 2005, we feel we have a point to prove now, and show what a bit of TLC and dedication can do.(and of course long nights and deep pockets!)
Hopefully he wont be the Viva victim at this years Billing show!
and we'll do our best to 'fly the flag' for Scotland and the club!

Im working on an article for the club magazine just now, so his transformation will be documented there,(hopefully!)
Andy.

215x50's will go on a 10 inch rim but are a little bit "euro" looking, on a 9 " the will fit no bother.
235's will fit either a 9 or a 10 inch rim

According to Kunhos information, the 9" rim is the optimum, with 8 to 10" being acceptable.

I would hope you would see 5000 miles on the road, but like all things, it depends on how hard those 5000 miles are! £400 a year on tyres is not funny!

Cheers

Where did you get the 7/16 nuts? I've been after some for awhile.
