How ironic! You get it when you get back....... Well at least you can start driving it around now and seeing if there's any weak points.

I think Mike did an amazing job on the car. It was a job well done saving it and it was great to see it in the flesh (or metal).

right this is a update from before we went to billing so last thursday i fitted the front bumper finished covering up all the welds,i unblocked the water pipes, jets and pump it was full of 40 yr old ewwww.i was just starting to put things back together there wasn't enough time to fit the back seats so i had to fit them friday
friday was the mot day i got there early(10am) ,its my uncles garage and it was supposed to be mot'd in the morning so i fitted the back seats as soon as i got there and the back trim/parcel shelf then i was waiting for the mot so whilst waiting i had chance to fit the front number plate(yes i left it rather late!)so then i touched up the rust "measles"all over the car with 2 pac paint in the sun i got a bit carried away and ended up hand painting both front wings and it made the car look a hell of alot better, then i cleaned all the interior for the last time and glued the door seals where they were broken checked all the lights for the last time and 330pm MOT it passed with a advisory on the steering rack but he said it would be ok as all the racks were like tha 40 yrs ago.
530pm back on the trailer and back home no log book no tax, marky was there waiting so we could all drive up together, sorry marcus for the long wait 715pm we were on the way to billing with a rather excited ten yr old leigh!i have managed to finish the hb in time for billing it was a very stressful journey getting the car done in time thank you for everyones help.mike

:) It looked fantastic!

Pass of my thanks to Leigh for doing a bin sweep and keeping the club stand (and indeed half of Billing!) clean and tidy! :)
