Getting marvin ready

Postby pbottomley » Mon Jul 02, 2007 4:42 pm

Adrian, not sure its mounted under the lobe, as when it does run for 2 - 3
miles its has loads of get up and go, drives very well and is rather quick
for a HA... so suspect its not 1/4 fuel being pumped

ill get pics tonight.

well just too that pump off an 100% working no leaks and the wear mark on the rocker arm is undeneath not on top, so it was located correctly and works....

However I could hear a hissing sounds when I loosened it from the carb... sounds like a vacum in the tank?

When the sodding rain stops again I will rig it all back up and try running it without a cap on the tank see if its the cap thats has caused the issue.

wish me luck folks

Right the rain has stoped...

took carb off stripped and washed out... put float chamber back on... put carb back on car..... chunked it over nothing

Used some 'easy start' fires and runs then dies again....

fuel is being pumped to carb, carb float chamber has fuel in it.... WTF is going on... ist a NOS carb, rebuilt like 4 times now, clean as awhistle...

It cannot be the carb as the car drove 100% for 3 miles not a sound, sweet as a nut then dead..

given up now, almost ready to sell the f erking thing
