Its running well now Phil, Its got a wideband lambda kit fitted and a datalogger so I can set the carbs up properly. Ive got no idea what kind of power its putting out, its "enough"!! :D

Its not too bad on fuel either, went for a run down the motorway and its giving 25-30mpg if your carefull, about the same as I was getting with the 1256!!!
Apart from the motorway runs, it gets thrashed everywhere!!! :D

Well, Its seems I killed my axle during my little jaunt to Chester.

Today I changed it for the 1800 one ive had for a while, but it seems like its a bit worn. When you change gear or let off the throttle sharply it gives a loud clonk.
Im not sure of the history of the axle, it could be a waste of a days work!!

Hi Scott,
I thought it looked your old HC.
Bought the mag today but not had time to look at it yet.

Scott,

Read the article last night, great write up.......I'm sure you will get another article done with the HB though and it will be just as good a car once you have it completed.

Small world eh ?

Have to say , car looked stunning , really really nice - credit to you . :respekt:

And if you didn't know , it's not the same chap who bought it off you , it's now owned by a guy called Ian in Teeside - a nice fella .

Oooh its in my area now is it. Have to look out for it. Strange a bloke at work said he'd seen a green HC around the Loftus area, with Cibie lights on it, and last night a mate phoned to say he'd seen a green HC lowered in the Newcastle area.

Aye Peter , I'm sure Scott's old one now has spots on the front so it's probably the one he saw . The one in the Newcastle area could well have been that one or even my mate Mick's green lowered one - he's up around Throckley/A69 way..
