The fun has begun (again!)new update 11/08/08

Postby bodyworx » Tue Oct 02, 2007 10:38 am

Well its been a while in the making, but work has eventually resumed on my HC estate .
After owning the car now for almost 2 1/2 years  , i have now decided its MY TIME.(all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy etc)

My secret weapon (10yr old son) has been at it almost every night, doing all the mundane stuff, and has given me the incentive to get this car finished soon!.

I now have just about every concievable part or upgrade that can be fitted to the car (well Ive had 2 years to find them ), so its time to crack on.

New engine and box will be here soon (thanks to Mr Bottomley's eagle E Bay eyes) so I have no excuses.

Only new part to source is a new red carpet (probably end up going with a Coverdale replacement  ).
And 'possibly' a set of 11x13 Revolutions split rims(gets notepad out,,,,,,,,,,,,Dear Santa ,,, ).

Watch this space for the progress reports, they should be on a regular basis, as Mark wants the car finished soon so we can get out there for some serious posin'.

In the beginning

after marks last few days work (not bad for a 10 yr old!)

I WOULD fit a tartan carpet if i could get one to fit ,well if i cant have the sportshatch tartan panels it would be an option :D .

Furry dice,,,,, got them!
Sidepipes, love them but wouldnt go along with the rest of the car

I have a 'place to rest my pipe ' NEW SEATS ' ( not the same pipe were talking about though ,,is it!!?? ).

Hope to have engine bay ready by next week for new lump.
decided to move battery and super smooth it all out, might buy those chromey bits off e bay for some blingage.

How ?? in the washing machine ????? surely not?

Not got a carpet just now for the HC junked it,
it'll be one of the last things anyway Paul, so a bit of time yet before I need one.
Coverdale do a shade almost exactly the same as my new seats, and I can get an extra bit for the boot floor and back of the rear seat and it'll all match. 8)
Although Im open to suggestions !.

One carpet of beige colour. One squirter (Wilko`s cheep 99p type), water (warm), shoe dye (red). Mix 1/4 dye, 3/4 water, spray, leave to dry in the sun for 24hrs. Job done
