some more progress has been made but im still waiting for the head to come back from the machine shop so much for the 5 day turnaround!. also the floorpans and a small patch on the rear pillar under the viynal roof need welding. then its in with the interior, all the lights back in, the grill and bumpers, brake pipes, then tax incurance and mot. all before billing!!!!.

progress at last!. all finished now and mot booked for monday fingers crossed! i`ll take some pics when i go up to see it on sunday and i finally get to drive the thing.

Go for Castrol valvemaster plus, Millers VSP or Millers CVL, Redline, these all have been tested and Really Work! All available from eBay.
Also there is Tetraboost, which you can buy direct from the company. it costs around £100 and lasts for 5000 miles + UT it is the real mccoy, it is actuall tetra ethyl lead, as added to real 4 star petrol...you can mix it stronger to make 5 star petrol too if you want...good stuff. Check it out on the net.

the engine was re assembled after the reconditioned head was put back on and over the time its been at my mates place the bottom end has siezed!! so pistons, crank and all that out to free it up hopefully it was put back together tonight and its all good, there is always something with this car just one problem after another but it will be worth it in the end.

Yes it will be worth it in the end...and hats off to you for your dedication.
There have been lesser men who have given up with cars when they hit an awkward patch, but you've kept it going...look forward to seeing the finished article.....colour is Tropic Green Starfire by the way.

thanks! it has been a big struggle this car but its almost done now then next year new viynal roof and paint and hopefully i can find some better wingmirrors and its done, yay!.

cant wait to get it on the road and spread the word of the viva at last and i will be at as many shows as i can manage. i went to the classics show at the m,e,n arena last week with my viva tshirt and had lots of possitive comments.

well the car came back from welding and other work the other day and im less than happy!!
i now have to pay someone else to sort it out and they call that finished!!!
note to self never get e friend of a friend to work on your car as the'll ruin it!!. i feel like selling the thing and be done with it.
