they're supposed to give off a bluey/purpleish hue when you brake , it's what the old hot rodders used to fit ..kinda like bait to the police though..

You've achieved a lot in a short time. I notice you've tidied up the bootlid by debadging. The Peacock Blue looks great too. Look forward to seeing it.

right, ive done a bit more to the HB...

I made a new headlining for it using the old one as a template, lots of measuring and trimming. I think it came out ok... 8)

Ive retrimmed the door cards as the were red cards painted black, the paint was coming off and it looked gash so the got retrimmed in sub box felt.

Then I chaned the windscreen seal, its a mk1 escort item, it does fit but its really tight to get in. no chance of that leaking!!

And today Im painting my bonnet, or should I say repainting my bonnet...had a go this morning and it reacted like hell, the rest of the cars been fine so I think its time for some barcoat first.

Nice headlining! Congrats for a well done job, that's quite difficult to make.
Why fight for a ball when we can play with cars..?!!

quick update on the HB....havent sold it so Ive decided to keep it. the cars been used as my daily since I got it and its been good apart from one thing.....the really short gearing and no 5th gear!!

so...I found a really low mileage 1300 crossflow and Im on the hunt for a type 9 box so I can have 5 gears. least then it will be more usable as an everyday car and I can keep up with traffic on the motorway at least. :D

Ill post up some pics when it stops raining!!!
