If you get a chance to do any paddock walkabout stuff, try and look me up either in group 5 or group 6 as were running 2 cars this time. Yellow Lola T70 in group 5 and Red Coca-Cola sponsored Lola T280 in group 6 if we get it finished in time...

Give us a shout.

Will do!! I'll be mostly around the Triumph GT (used to mechanic for it) whose group number I can't remember right now.
Three cars, two fire engines, one steam roller, a wheelchair, and various sized hammers.... what could go wrong?!

We did!! The car ran a treat and didn't so much as hiccup out of place.
Looked out for your vehicles but with so many to see it was hard work!! How was it for you?

I'm slowly uploading pictures here LINKY should anyone be interested!!

Clara - going to bed for much needed sleep.

Mixed w/end for us really. Had a 1st and 2nd place with the Bernard Thuner entered Lola T70 Mk 3 but our other T70 was only a reserve so dispite qualy-ing 5th we had to start from the back of the grid for race 1 66th on the grid and were behind the 2 mini marcos'. they were lapping a minute down on the pace car so by the time we crossed the line to start were nearly a lap down. Managed to finish 6th hough  Then for race 2, we were on the front row as they use your fastest lap time for grid posn. On the out lap the battery packed up and we lost all power. 3rd Varley we've had let us down now, and as it meant starting from the back again for race 3 the drivers decided to scratch their entry. So we had a wander around and left the 2 youngsters on the team to run the other car in the last race. Chased the 917 all the way to the finish line. Oh well, I'm happy as I built the engines in both cars and they came away in one piece, so a result for me.
Saw an HB in the car displays on the Crashbox and Kickstart stand form here in Devon.
Glad you had a good time. There were som awesome cars to see. We had the Howmet Turbine car in our group and it was quite scary to watch.
Roll on 2010.

I fell off the ground and unfortunately will not be seeing the specialist who can repair me until February.

In the mean time I need a car that I can get in and out of easily (even if I can't drive it) and I don't have the driveway space to keep the Chevette and the fire engine.

Besides it would be awful to see her just sitting there slowly rotting away - it was painful enough with the HA (currently in bits across the house) sat on the driveway and me being unable to do any work on her. I can't go through that again.
