I knew the Fordson van "Hot and Bothered", was very famous back around 1980, featured in many mags at the time.

I now own the orange Magnum, have had it nearly five years. It is fitted with a Rover V8 and 5 speed 'box, very neat job.

It was the cover car in Custom Car magazine, May 1987.

Unfortunately it has been painted Matt black with a white stripe, VERY badly.

I'm hoping to make a start on it soon, just needs the sills repairing body wise.

That looks like Pop central, I had a 100E Pop to make into a rod but kept it as was, and also a VDP 1300 like the ones pictured, those museum ones are in better nick thoughImageactually also owning two MG versions and a Morris 1100 of those ADO16 badge engineered jobs.

Who I was talking about it to, at (dare I make mention it)the Driver's club AGM.
I hadn't been to the Enfield Veteran and Vintage Societies HQ, since the late 90s when I lived near Waltham Abbey and there is so much more in their Museum now, particularly motorcycles and being an avid biker I enjoyed a quick round in there, before we went off for a Christmas Pub Meal

I was most grateful for Rob Knght's kind offer of a lift to Whitewebbs, a fair detour for him, as due to a pacemaker, I couldn't drive for a month.

Talking Pacemakers, I gather Mike has another V8 waiting in the wings to go into that chopped HA.

ImageMike won the prize for most shows(I didnt get one for fewest)seen in the centre and to his right, John Night who took over the Chairmanship.
Mike also owns this GT amongst other cars.Image

Hello and welcome, nice to hear the car still survives, and not far from me. Lets see some photos of it.

This is what it looked like when in the magazine.

I am having trouble uploading photos of how it currently looks.
