Hi Kim, that's a relatively early car, do you have any more info? 2 door , 4 door, saloon, coupe, estate, engine size? I assume by "rediscover" you mean he has recommissioned it.

Good Evening,

Thank for the response, not recommissioned has sat in his garage for around thirty year doing nothing.
He is now willing to let it go.

4 Door Viva SL 2300 single cam, he thinks it is a rally car.
We have some pictures but cant seem to add them to the forum.

A genuine Viva 2300 is a very rare car, think theres about 7 known to the club. I have a K reg SL, but its only a 1256. If you send the photos to me I will post them for you.

Great another 2300 SL - one or two have come out of the woodwork over the last few years. Be good to hear haw you get on with the restoration - I have a soft spot for the 2300cc - I have had 3 since I entered the Viva scene back in the late 1990's
I have just re-stocked head and sump gasket sets for the 2300 OHC engines and have some separate cam cover gaskets if you have the need.
