i was curious so checked on DVLA, they have no record for that reg at all , is it right?

yes this is the correct reg - it is in the VVOC register with pictures - mostly ones I have passed on but also one from earlier days. It also appears in our archive members register.
I have had this problem before with the 2300 saloon that I bought recently - that turned out that there was more than Vauxhall in the make description on the V5C - maybe this is a similar.
If I selected "other" on the inquiry make and type in what was on the V5C I got recongnition - problem here is I dont have a copy of the V5C so I dont know what was put.
The other possibility is that someone has sold the number!
