Went to view a Rover P6 just north of Huntly yesterday. We pulled up and the first thing I saw was a 1972 HC Viva!

Obviously the first thing I said was "Is the Viva for sale!?"

Fair amount of welding needed on it, and the previous owner put a 2l Redtop and Manta gearbox in it if I remember correctly? I can't remember now... we spoke about so many cars! Anyway, the guy has bought it, minus the engine, and his plan is to weld it up and stick in a Saab engine and Omega gearbox.

The interior was lovely - all black. The car was originally blue, but has been resprayed at some point in a darker blue.

Reg plate was LYD 210L, I'm afraid I didn't get any pictures.

Anyway, had me excited

For sale in the Autum 94 club mag, then on ebay in 2011.

That's it! Looks better with an engine!

I think he said he bought it from somebody else in Huntly? I can't remember now though. He was an interesting guy, and he's done up a lot of cars, so I've no doubt this'll be top-notch when he's done with it.
