Viva e coupe £1400ono Essex

Postby Rullverine » Mon Apr 14, 2014 9:27 pm

My gold Viva e coupe is now for sale.
Used daily, but low annual mileage. I think I've done 45000 in 12years..and that's on a recon engine. It's a bit incontinent on oil, but it's been like that for at least 10 years...I've just used a tray under it, for the occasional drip. It also runs sweet as a nut as it has a webber on there now. Hates the cold. For some reason you have to prime the carb with the pedal or it just won't start. The choke tends to make it run rich as hell. Itsnothing horrendous, they just didn't set that part up right when it went to get tuned.
Comes with spares, windscreen, gearbox, bits that need a recon (starter, radiator) loads of bits and bobs.
Solid, been welded, paint work still shines up, but it's blotchy and old. No major rust, just a few scabby bits that need attention. New rear suspension arms, two front bearings, new brake lines, new battery, decent rad, webber twin choke carb, reupholstered cream vinyl, wolfrace alloys, luminition electronic ignition, new water pump, green stuff front pads,
Full mot no advisories, till April 15. Taxed till Aug (I think, must look!)

let me know if this link works or not please!

Yes.....I dont mind a little mod here and there to make an old beast better, but I really dont want this chopped up! Its been through all weathers, and its not A1 as a result, but its solid enough, welded where it had needed welding, and maintained enough to get it through MOTs to be driven as my main car. Its perfectly usable but I really think its time it given some proper TLC and not driven in snow (like I have!). I can see many viva owners now holding there heads in there hands after that last comment! Just want it to go to a good home and get what it needs really.
Ive turned to the darkside and gone for a japanese beast, genuine reason for sale is simply that ive owned it 12 years and cant afford 2 cars, no room either. Just wanted a new toy...I'll still be sad to see it go!

Yes, the original stuff was well pasted it, and had been covered in a horrible grey fluffy fabric. My inlaws did this for me, using most of the original darker beige back and sides-and original piping. Pretty good job really. Just gets dirty easy as it's very light. Ive found a soft nail brush and cif cream cleaner works amazingly on it. Looks brand new after. Nothing else I've tried works in cleaning it!
