Update on the new sale price - I had an email from someone who had found out I was a previous owner and wanted my views on condition etc. Apparently it is on ebay now at Buy Now - £4550 - Offers invited. He had made an offer of £3750 :!: which I think was accepted.
I sent him a link to this thread for him to read - he came back to me, having read it and also noted from the HPI check that it had 2 owners in as many weeks, and decided not to touch it with a bargepole :P
Anyone fancy making him an offer of £2500
Cant find it on ebay but it is on Cars and Classics still

Yep thats Goldie  - wish he would stop telling porkies - the is no evidence to support the 21,000 miles and he is not a private seller just a chancer trying to screw someone for 2 grand - must have let it cool for a while - the last bloke i spoke to made an offer of £3750 which was accepted but after he spoke to me and i told him what i had sold it for he withdrew his offer - nice car but not £4500 nice

These people really grip me, just as much as the people who buy to break, which I have fallen foul of myself with a pre production mk3 escort xr3 that I had restored but vastly improved the performance of the engine. I had owned it since I was 17 and was just storing it, a chap who seemed to be an enthusiast came to se it and I thought I'd be nice and let him have it at a good price. The next thing I knew was that the shell was crushed and the engine used in something else, I was gutted.
