For Sale; Viva HB SL (Restoration Project)

I’m interested in “passing” on my 1970 HB Viva SL, which I’ve owned for 40 years, but which does need a good deal of work to get it back on the road.

It's done 114k, but the original engine was replaced with a 1256 unit taken from a Chevette which had been written off at only 7,000 miles. The body is a mixture of pretty good and pretty terrible. No one should think about buying it without looking it over thoroughly. The interior is ‘fair’. It will start and drive. I think it might fetch £450 on ebay.

As well as the car, I have quite a stock of NOS spares (including one inner wing and two sills). I'd be willing to sell those "as and when needed" to the buyer, to help spread the project costs. Anyone who is seriously interested should PM me for more info. I am looking for the right buyer and don’t need a quick sale. I’m located in north Oxfordshire (close to M40, J10).

Cheers
Barrie
