HB Viva Short engine

Postby mowogg » Wed Sep 23, 2015 9:36 pm

This was removed by my dad in 1970 from a 1968 HB. I understand it had only covered 14000 miles, but it had a scored bore. Its been stored in a dryish garage since, and does have surface rust as you would expect given this time. It is complete with pistons and crank. I cannot see the scores, but i would be surprised if its not there.

The engine is in Luton, ?
Collection only but i could transport it to Chichester if this is of interest

Removed from a 68 HB, in 1970, going to be 1159, 1256 not introduced by then.
Any chance you can remember the reg of the HB, any photos?
