Another option - does anyone have a HA parts manual? The Vauxhall part numbers for these are 7188710 and 7188711 according to my HC book. That would confirm whether or not they are the same parts, but wouldn't say whether or not they are close enough to fit.

Just checked the HA part's book on Vauxpedia and those numbers don't appear in the numerical index.

The HA disc shields are 6389228 and 6389229.

95% of HA front shields would be for drum brakes?

Are they Fred? I can't say I know that much about the HA, but it's a fair point, though it sounds like Bob's and Chas's are discs.

Thanks for the confirmation on the part numbers David.

Chas, do you have shields on now, if so could you post a photograph of one? Though if the disc / hub is in place, it probably won't show enough to be sure.

This is one, compared to a (rusty) original one.

They're supplied un-finished, so you can choose whether you want to paint, powder-coat, chrome or whatever finish. These are hand-shaped, so you may find some hammer marks and/or shrinking marks around the edges, though I'm trying to keep those to a minimum.

PM me if you're interested.

Just received mine and they are excellent. Thanks :D ,only thing is now ive got to strip the brakes out again

I'm at Tatton Park in a couple of weeks time, if anyone is interested in a pair of shields and wants to save on postage.

I just wanted to mention that this first batch have all sold out. I haven't decided whether to get some more made, but I've had a quote and I think I could do them at £45 + P&P per pair if I were to have another small batch made.

If anyone is interested, please let me know and I'll start a list of interested parties to see if it's worthwhile.
