This is a Viva HC 1256cc (NOT a GT 2000cc) and its of 1970's origin... please look for the chasis number and provide it, we can then tell you more.

From the pictures I suspect its a 1973 - 1974 ish?

Chassis Number: 9C11DEE801811

9=Vauxhall
C=Viva E
11=2dr Saloon
D=1256cc
E=1975

The next E, not sure, its normally a X or Y, for Luton or Ellesmere Port. Plate says Antwerpen, so thats probably where the car was built, and thats what the second E stands for.
801811 is the cars unique number.

Does the car have any registration plates? If so whats the number on those?

Looks a decent car, let us know how you get on with it. If you join the Owners Club you will get access to the club mag, either paper or pdf formats. Club spares, and the rest of the forum.

Hi.
The engine really small and lookes as 1256cc. It's too small :(. And I want to install in the car
Ford V6 2.9i engine (from Ford Scorpio, 12 valves, 150 hp).
Maybe it's not popular in your club (car loose original details), but I made this decision due to some reasons:
- there are no any spare pats for the car in my country, and it's too expensive for me to order parts overseas;
- this is exotic car in my country, and I want it starts and goes so good as it looks. I always assosiated this car with "big american brothers" which have big engines :D.
I already bought the engine (2.9 V6) and began the process.
But before I took apart the original engine from the car, I worked for two days and started it! And it worked good.
So I have an original engine in my garage and I will keep it for best time.

I hope I not offend anyone.
Serge.

Dont worry about changing the engine, we dont mind modified cars as long as they are completed and not left half done. With that engine you should really uprate the brakes and the rear axle. The standard 1256 rear axle isnt that strong. Keep us informed on your progress, and pictures. There a few HC's over here with the Ford V6 in, was a popular swap at one time.

Hello,

I didn't know that somebody has done swap like this already. It says that I made correct selection of the engine :).
I realized it when tried to put the engine in the car: it fits quite good (but with cutting, welding and etc.).
I made some photos of the process:

Hello Serge,

I like Vivas with V6 engines :-) My brother owned a 1990 TVR sports car for about 15 years and it had the same V6 engine you are fitting. Its sounded fantastic and drove very well. It was also quite economical. Please keep us updated with your progress- very interesting.

cheers
