Hi folks,

Just a quick note to say hello, I have recently purchased a non running HC Viva from ebay. It is in a bit of a state as it has not run for the last 15 years and is probably going to need plenty of time and cash thrown at it.

I am not looking to turn it into a customised street fighter /sleeper or any other Max Power inspired custom job but I would like to get it up and running and into a state where it is tidy, taxed and tested.

The registration number (RFR 394T) put a smile on my face as my surname is Rafferty but at least this one is not forty shades of green - Val Doonican - anyone?

So, I will be utilizing the club for parts and advice and I will happily reciprocate any assistance where possible.

well saved that man, I watched it on ebay and must admit ive a soft spot for the 1300 GLS
join the club for full forum access and club spares.......
Im sure fred dukes will be along shortly with the membership link..

Cheers Steve, I am now a full member so I have posted a couple of questions. I will be in a better position to know what is required when i get a proper look over it and see what is what.

Hopefully I will get her running within the next couple of weeks

Good luck with the viva as it will be great to see another one on the road.
Ive been with this club for 2 years and at the time had got a viva off Ebay that had been in a barn since 1991.
The support and contacts/friends ive made are second to none,they have been a big part of getting him on the road.
Try and make Billing in July to meet the club members and also may find your parts at the large auto jumble as i found some panels for mine there.

Thanks Terry, I think I will need it. Billing is just a distant dream at the moment, I would like to attend but as it stands -I am not entirely sure what I have bought so repairs and costs permitting - I will be there.

Hi Peter and thanks for the welcome, the car I bought was item number 141181030224. If you type that into the ebay search bar it will bring the original ad up.
