Hi, my names Mac and I've just bought a 2300 magnum coupe. Always loved the coupe since my dad have a 1800 sl firenza when I was I kid. Need to do a fair bit of work on it to get it how I want it, but usable so I can enjoy driving it while I do the work :D

Hi Guys, the reg is KTM 12P still have a few jobs to do before it gets to any shows. I've got another tank on the way as the one that's fitted is weeping fuel from a dent the previous owner managed to put in it  also theres no sound proofing or carpet in it at the mo, ok for short journeys but toooo noisey for longer trips. And then theres the matter of insurance, the previous owner still has it insured and until that runs out in 2 weeks time I cant insure it  tried getting hold of him but no joy at the mo. So carpet/ sound proofing is next on my list to do along with the tank. Then I should be up and running and hopefully meeting some of you at a few shows :D

Welcome to the Forum - Looks a nice 1800 Magnum Coupe - nice to hear you have taste andare ditching the wheels ASAP - would that be the tank which Steve Cooke was selling - he said yesterday he had sent one off
Dont understand your comments about insurance - thew fact that he has insurance does not stop you taking insurance out - get some quotes there are load of brokers out there who will take your money
Myself and one or 2 of the members are favouring RH Insurance Specialists who seem to be very competitive at the moment and have the advantage of not charging admin fees either for setting up or changes during the term :P
Contact 01277 206911 http://www.rhclassicinsurance.co.uk/
they seem to be doing a marketing push at the mo and are keen to get involved with the Club.
Should you wish to become a full member I have attached our application for and inquiry letter

That is gorgeous (apart from the yukky wheels) but then the Firenza shape always bowls me over, love that colour, never seen one like that, is that original paint, what's it called? I want one like that!

Hi Thomas, no not the original colour. Originally it was gold, that colour is a modern Peugeot colour. the car may end up going either white, silver or back to the original gold? not made my mind up yet  My Insurance company say it is illegal to have 2 separate policies running on the same car, hence they wont insure me on it till the previous owners insure runs out or he cancels it  no rush anyway still got plenty of jobs to do. Yes the tank did come from Steve, hopefully should arrive today/tomorrow :D
