Well it's official I now own a viva again

Postby viva boy » Fri Jul 03, 2015 12:44 am

After having a viva 1300L estate given to me as my first car and buying a 1300 GLS 2dr saloon as my first car back in 1989 I have freeness feeling the need to have a Viva back in my life and after 4-6 yrs looking for the right car I have finally found it last month.
After a 5 hr round trip she/he is back home in the garage warm and dry.
So now I shal just have to plan where I go from here ..... It will be a keeper and never be sold as it will be something that my son and I work on together and pass down to him.
I know it is known on here as I believe it was number 4000 listed in the club
Pics will be posted ASAP as will the number plate.
So I'm after any info ...
How many 1300 GLS Estates are in the club ?
How many are left on the road ?
And finally how do I join and how much is it ?
Cheers

Excellent news. How do you figure it was No 4000? Going on that, its either a white one, or an orange one that had been vandalised.

Theres only 19 1300GLS est listed in the register, and most of those are long gone. So would imagine theres only maybe 3 or 4 still around.

Fred will be along soon to take your money for membership and supply you with the forms, or see here, http://www.vauxhallviva.com/?page_id=337

Probably asked this before, reg numbers, photos of your old cars?

And peter is near 5000 cars now in the register, busy Man hunting down all those locked away in garage ones.

Do you need glass for the Estate? Looks like someone has smashed them all.....
I can supply a windscreen, door glasses, and NEw heated tailgate screen if needed, maybe Danny has rear side glasses left over from his trailer project?

Cheers Adrian
Thankfully the perso I bought it off had got it all sorted before I bought it.
I am after a radiator panel that goes between the front panel and radiator, looks like a wonky half hexagon.
An estate rear glass window rubber, a headlight switch and a 150 carb.
And that's just to start. Oh and a full one key lock set

If you are coming to Billing I can bring you one of those plates - if I get it back in time I can do you a powdercoated black one for £25 or one in black smooth hammerite for £10 - headlight s/w for £3
You might whistle for a long time to get a rear screen rubber - tried to get Eastkent Trim interested but nothing happening as far as I know maybe if a few more people ask them for one they might bail us out

I am aiming to come to billing on the Saturday afternoon / evening Fred

I'll take the £10 plate and the switch if it's a gls one out of the centre console.
I also need the steering wheel badge out of the magnum type two spoke steering wheel if you have one as well Fred
