Hello, I have recently acquired a Vauxhall viva HC 1971 for restoration and I'm in desperate need of the best place to get parts! I need two new sills, any advice?

Thanks

Nick

Welcome!

You could try Pete's Panels/Old Panels, he has an eBay store (can't remember which name it's under) and he's helpful.

I lent a pair of sills to EX Pressed Panels for them to copy for remanufacture - if you ask them when they will be available it will help establish the demand and jolly them along a bit  http://www.steelpanels.co.uk/

Welcome "surferbirdy159" I bought 2 sills and a rear valance from a place in Birmingham called "Starpanels" I think they're still going ,should find them on the net under that name, our local secretary Fred Dukes will have address, phone no's etc, the panels were a good fit, also wheel arch's are available again Fred will have the details, all the best, cheers, "vivapete3"!

Thanks for your response. I tried calling them today. They don't have any and they are not planning on making anymore unfortuantily. I have bought myself some 4 door sills. I'm realiabily informed that I'll be able to cut the reverse edge to the correct length

As far as I'm aware, the length is the same, it's just the shape of the top edge that will need modification because you don't have the centre pillar.

True. I used 4 door sills on the firenza. You just have to grind off the lip that sits on the rear door 'step'. 2 minute job.
