Hehe I did make good progress but it will be slowing down come winter. Next spring I hope to do bodywork and hopefully spray it one color

Some progress pics on my 1965 Viva HA:

Restored my instrument cluster as best I could and added a temp gauge from a vauxhall Victor cluster.

Stripped the entire car to get ready for some bodywork and high build primer. Lots of repair work to do.

Waiting on some brake and radiator parts to get it running and moving again.

Hopefully make some more progress before real cold weather sets in and snow falls

Thanks, I'm at the daunting part now. Wish I had the $ to just drop it off at a bodyshop to blast it and repair everything but I don't so ill make do in my driveway haha

Looks good - though I suspect that tent will be covered with snow soon. :)

Yes it will, that's why I need to get the vauxhall moving under its own power so I can get it out of the way. That tent is where I do my remote car starter installs all winter.

Not too much new to post but since I haven't been online here much (mainly the vauxhall FB group more) and it's now 2021 I figured I'd give you all the little updates that have been.

My viva now has working brakes all around, starts up like a champ every time (with a few seconds to let the electric fuel pump prime the carb float) and can drive around my property.

I've changed the wheels to lightweight 15" alloys that I came across for a good deal as all my 12" tires were flat and wouldn't hold air anymore. Wasn't able to source 12" tires and got the new wheels for 200 with rubber.

Nothing else really, hopefully more progress come spring. Really want to start patching holes in the floor and frame rails.

Yes that's correct, not very recent.

Here's a pic from about a week ago, clearing snow from the drive, wife with the smart car in the foreground, viva under cover in the background.
