Better say hello..

Postby Zedman » Fri Dec 07, 2007 4:12 am

Hello, there I'v done it,
I had better explain myself, I am a fitter & turner by trade mostly working in steelworks and powerstations, I have a knowlege of cars and have built several rallycars over the years, my current project is a 1965 MG Midget with a VX XE engine (on hold at the mo due to moving) I also try air rifle target shooting (HFT) to relax.

I have joined this forum (hoping to learn) as I have been offered a HC estate and am thinking about an XE conversion (I have most parts burried in my garage)

anyway, Hello.

Rich.

(forgot to say, I know how these forums work as i am a moderator on the AAOC http://www.airarmsownersclub.com/index.php)

Good morning sir!
Three cars, two fire engines, one steam roller, a wheelchair, and various sized hammers.... what could go wrong?!

Hello zedman

A fellow shooter, I mention anything about shooting .22 rifle or co2 pistol (As poor relations to the hobbies of practical pistol, and .22 target disciplines I used to follow pre-legislative restrictions) and peoples eyes glaze over. That's when I know I'm on a loozer.

Good luck with the search for a an HC estate for the conversion. Don't know if anyone on here has done it, but if they have I'm sure they will come forward to offer advise if and when needed.

Regards
Danny

I forgot to add a bit about my cars, I had a self built Chevette with a ford 2l pinto that was a road weapon and also used for road rallies about 12 years ago, I still have the remains of a Chevette HS, S reg and have recently moved all my stuff into a much smaller garage so am on hold with work while I sort out the garage & workshop (2 lathes, milling machine, surface grinder, 3 pillar drills, hydraulic press, warious welding equipment, body dozer, and loadsa other junk) I also build gearboxes and diffs aswell as engines when I have time
