I've heard that 2ltr pinto points are the same as 1256. Yet to try that one.

Partly true, I guess that the later Bosch distributors share the same components but not the more common Delco ones. Ford never used GM parts for some reason...........

According to Chris, the guy who exported my old Sportshatch to Australia, it's very easy to fit a Servo and Master Cylinder off a Subaru in place of the HC ones. I forget the exact model, something like "Liberty" though that might be something different down there. Just needs one pipe blanking off for the HC.

Peter, just how good a fit is the MK1 Escort rubber for the HB? Has anyone had experience with fitting one?

Dont know how good a fit the rubbers are, it was something I picked out of an old Clubmag. Think it said they are a tight fit, but seal well.
