Thankyou...... I would like to say a big thanks to Fred Dukes and Tim Chick who organised getting new parts to me at the NEC (new dynamo & reg box) so that we could get home safely. Lots of nice, charging electric-ery from the dynamo now. Dismantled the old dynamo today, and the commutator is black, & burnt out.
Thats the advantange of the club, - helping each other out when in need and the knowing of someone who can help. Ta chaps

Glad to here all went well on the way home Adrian :P
Everyone seems to have got home with out mishap :)
Many thanks to Vauxhall for providing the red carpet for all the Vauxhall Clubs and to Marcus Cooper for organising our stand (probably to the detriment of his plumbing business :respekt: ) - this was his 1st big show and all seemed to go smoothly including the admin and logistics of the Stand Props ( supplemented with some nice period bits from Adrian's archive )
That's it now Marcus you are a fully fledged Event Organiser - try getting out of that one
Anyone got a few pictures to show people what they missed  (and to prove Bob's wasn't the only car on the stand  )
There was good interest in joining the Club and a new supply of membership forms was shipped in on Sunday. Marcus handed over 5 new paid up members details gathered over the period of the show and numerous membership packs and magazines were handed out :P

The new members gained, both at the show and in the coming months, just goes to prove that not only do the public get to see nice cars , but that the club does ultimately benefit by getting keen people interest and the new memberships, which means that all the work involved in doing the stand at the NEC event, is good for all.

I would just like to say thanks to Marcus, Adrian, Bob and Fred for a great weekend at the NEC! :D

Here is a sample of the interest shown in our club stand. This is a post by Classic and Sports Car magazine on their facebook page -
