The week before the British GP is Goodwood FOS, so a week after the GP would have been better..........

Note what you say Adrian but I understand that Sywell was not available to the VBOA that weekend.

I was able to get tickets to FOS this year but was only allowed a four hour window including travel to go on the Thursday so missed it this year. Looks like a rerun for 2020! :)

A message from VBOA regarding Sywell booking.

This is just a little reminder about the Sywell 2020 booking system.
Booking is here: https://vboa.org.uk/index.php/product-category/show/
There are around a dozen hotel rooms left for Friday night and a few rooms left for Saturday.
A reminder too that we have the VBOAEARLY20 code to use at checkout (valid until 31/12/2019) where you get 20% off the show/camping tickets, no discount on the hotel bookings. For those who print newsletters etc, the next code is VBOAEARLY10 which will be valid from 01/01/2020 until 31/03/2020 and good for a 10% discount on Show/Camping tickets.

Please can you remind your members that when booking the hotel, it does not give show entry and that can be purchased here: Friday-Sunday Show https://vboa.org.uk/index.php/product/v ... ay-sunday/
Saturday-Sunday Show https://vboa.org.uk/index.php/product/v ... ay-sunday/

For those wanting to camp, the links are here:
Fri-Sun https://vboa.org.uk/index.php/product/v ... ay-sunday/
Sat-Sun https://vboa.org.uk/index.php/product/v ... ay-sunday/

We are also going to be at the NEC classic car show 8th/9th//10th November, and we are going to the ACE Cafe London on Tuesday 12th November from 6pm if you or your members wish to join us.

Unfortunately Sywell 2020 has been cancelled, the VBOA have put out this statement.

Good Afternoon,
It is with great sadness that the VBOA Events Team have come to the difficult decision to postpone the VBOA Rally 10-12th July 2020, until July 2021. It would be too close to any restriction easing to ensure we can deliver the kind of show we all want with the mindset of your health being the most important thing.
We have no exact dates yet; we want to ensure it does not clash with the Formula 1, which is assumed to be confirmed later this year.

All bookings (hotel, camping, day tickets etc) made for the 2020 event will be honoured next year.

We will come back in 2021 with a big party!

Please pass this information around your clubs, we will post the same information on the social media pages 48hours after this email has been sent. It is inevitable that the information will make it to the VBOA page(s) but it wont be from the Events team or Committee.

We will close the 2020 event shop on the website, and update everything accordingly.

Stay safe and stay positive,

VBOA Events Team & Committee
